Merbabu is a favorite mountain for local and foreign
mountaineers. The active volcano Mount Merapi is directly adjacent on its south
– east side, whle the city of Salatiga is located on its northersn foothills.
A 1.500m hight broad saddle lies between Merbabu and Merapi,
the site of village of Selo and highly fertile farming land.
For years it has been known as a sleeping mountain, but in
fact it has 5 calderas.

- You will be picked up from your hotel if it is in Yogyakarta downtown area.
